What a concept! What percentage of your day do you feel a sense of inner peace? Do you find that some days the expectations and the demands on your time are so huge that the disconnection between what you need to do, and want you want to do is overwhelming?
If your answer to this is yes then you are not alone.
A few years ago, I was at the top of my game. I had the job I had been working towards for years. My family was in great shape (or so I thought so), my financial situation was healthy and it looked like I “had it all”.
BUT, on the inside, I was not happy. I was unhealthy, I was cranky and I was exhausted from trying to do it all, have it all and be it all. When I ended up telling my boss that she could take the job and ….., I realized I had reached my breaking point.
What I quickly came to realize is I was letting the stress and overwhelm that I was experiencing in my life rob me of my inner peace. I knew that ultimately, I wanted to take control of my life and find a new way of being. Thus began my journey of creating less stress and more peace in my life.
This did not happen overnight, but with a series of small action steps I learned to tune into my body, mind and emotions to shift how I responded to the things that came up in my life.
The most common misconception about stress is that it is something on the outside of you that needs to change. Though this is true on one hand, it is not true on the deepest level. The things that happen in our day to day lives happen, many of them are outside of our control. All we can control is how we respond to these events.

Do you want to find more inner peace in your life but don’t know where to begin? Begin by taking a few moments and ask yourself “What is most important to me?” “What percentage of the time do I feel aligned with these priorities” What action steps can I begin to take NOW to help me live truer to what is important to me”.
Doing this reflection takes both courage and commitment as you seek to find what is getting in the way of your inner peace. Some people fear doing this reflection as they are scared of what they may find. Remember, there are no mistakes in life, only opportunities for growth and learning.
If you want some support in living true to what is important to you, give me a call, I would love to support you on your journey.
