Facebook is a great tool for marketing your business, staying connected with customers and generating referrals. Are you taking full advantage of this free promotional opportunity?

Join social media trainer Angela Crocker and fellow Mom Café members to learn methods to build and enhance your brand and expand your active customer base!

We’ll talk about the different ways your brand can have a presence – Profiles, Pages and Groups – and why Pages are the way to go. We’ll start with a checklist of the things you need to dress up your Page. We’ll then explore best practices on how to build your brand whether you provide a unique product or service or are operating as a local business owner for a national brand like Mary Kay.  We’ll go over the etiquette of Pages, talk about how to get fans, explore great content opportunities and take a quick peek at Facebook advertising. It will be a whirlwind of knowledge so bring your notebooks.

You won’t need it to participate in the class, but please feel free to bring your laptop, netbook or tablet to follow along online. Free Wi-Fi is available in the room.

An avid finger puppet collector and a closet Internet geek since 1994, Angela Crocker helps heart-centered entrepreneurs and business owners build (mostly) online communities.  She has a unique ability to teach using geek-speak that’s understandable to all.   A community builder, Angela believes social networking is part art and part science and that it can be done in no time at all. From the technical how-tos to the art of conversation, Angela teaches anyone to find and passionately embrace their community both online and offline.  Her first book, The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Creating a Social Network, shares many of her tips for successful communities.  Find her at www.beachcombercommunications.com or at a coffee shop playing with her latest tech toy.

Angela will also have copies of her book “The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Creating a Social Network” available for purchase at the event.

$25 including HST. Cash or cheque, please.
