Cybele Negris, Founding Partner and President of webnames.ca Cybele Negris is President & Co-Founder of Webnames.ca, Canada’s original .CA Registrar and one of the country’s leading Internet solutions companies. The multi-million dollar company has an impressive client list including many of Canada’s largest brands as well as Global Fortune 500 companies.
Besides being a mom of 2 small kids, Cybele is extremely involved in the community. Cybele is Vice-Chair of the Board of Small Business BC (www.smallbusinessbc.ca). She also serves on the Board of the Small Business Roundtable of British Columbia chaired by Minister Iain Black (www.smallbusinessroundtable.ca). She is also on the Board of the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs (www.fwe.ca), and served as Chair of the FWE e-series Program (entrepreneurial training for high growth businesses) for the past few years. Cybele speaks at over a dozen entrepreneurship and technology conferences or events each year.
Nicole Stefenelli, Founder and President of Urban Impact Recycling Nicole Stefenelli is the founder and president of Urban Impact Recycling Ltd., the first multi-material recycling company in the Lower Mainland. As a pioneer in the recycling industry, Nicole’s passion for the environment led her to initiate the business as a university project in 1986. Under Nicole’s nurturing eye she has developed Urban into a company that services customers in 4500 locations from Whistler to Chilliwack. Urban has achieved recognition as one of the largest, most technologically advanced paper recycling organizations in British Columbia.
Nicole is known for her passion to be on the leading edge of sustainability issues. Her passion and knowledge about Zero Waste best practices make her a highly sought out advisor with CEO’s of companies that are looking to reduce their waste and carbon footprint, without hurting their bottom lines
As a mom to 4 children, she coaches soccer teams, cheers on her BMX racer and horseback rides regularly with her kids! Nicole also currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs, the National Association of Information Destruction (NAID), and is President of the Waste Management Division of the BC Trucking Association. She previously served on the Board of the recycling Council of British Columbia. She was recognized in the business community a winner of Business in Vancouver’s Forty Under Forty Award (1990). Nicole is also an active member of the Building Manager Association of British Columbia’s Environmental Committee. Nicole was recently recognized as the Ernst and Young (Pacific) Cleantech Entrepreneur of the Year.
