momcafé Ottawa…Connecting Inspired Moms

Professionally minded Moms across Ottawa are connecting with each other through momcafé Ottawa.  Sit back and relax while you enjoy a steaming latté, a light breakfast, and on-site childcare provided by In A Pinch childcare services.  Enjoy the chance to meet, chat and network with other educated, savvy Ottawa moms.  You could also be a winner of one of our fun doorprizes and of course every mom gets to go home with a gift bag full of goodies!

Our March event features two moms involved in the world of fashion. Visnja Zaborski Breton is a Co-Founder, Board Member, and Director of Marketing & Communications for Dress for Success Ottawa, an organization that provides business wear to disadvantaged women returning to or entering the workforce, as well as providing them with partnership and support, practical information, and inspiration to achieve self-defined success in career and life.  As a stay-at-home mom of two school aged children, she was looking for a new challenge as well as new volunteer opportunity within the community, so working toward getting a Dress for Success affiliate off the ground in the Ottawa was the perfect fit!

Andréanne Budd, the founder of Alter Ego Stylist helps women update their personal style and look, showing them how to make the most of what nature has given them. Andréanne’s passion for fashion was sparked during her eight years abroad learning foreign languages in countries such as Germany, England, Scotland and The Netherlands. She was fascinated by the beautiful boutiques and seemingly effortless flair of Europeans and this sparked a desire to enhance her knowledge through formal training as a personal stylist.  She founded Alter Ego Stylist in July 2009 and has found Ottawa to be the perfect place for her and her husband to live and raise their two children. For a small donation at the event, Andréanne will provide you with a body shape assessment,with all proceeds going to Dress for Success Ottawa.

Cost $29+HST members; $35+HST non-members.  To become a member, click here.  Childcare is available on-site but spaces are limited so register early!  Kids aged 0-12 years old are welcome.  Listen to the speakers and engage in uninterrupted conversation while the children are supervised in a safe and fun area nearby.  Babies aged 0 to 6 months (or older if you prefer) may choose to sit closer to Mom.  An additional fee of $10+HST for the first child and $5+HST for each additional child will be charged for those requiring childcare (snacks included).

A portion of the proceeds from this event (and every momcafé Ottawa event) go to Dress for Success Ottawa.
