There are a times as we wander our way through life where we suddenly feel our age, or maybe maturity is a better description.
I find these times are associated with the hard decisions… the ones you so desperately want to rely on someone else to make for you.
Decisions like fixing the roof (boring) instead of renovating the kitchen (fun!)
Spending thousands on your daughter’s teeth, instead of the family vacation.
Deciding that having the two dogs fighting all the time is a recipe for disaster… and one of them has to go.
Being a silly old dog lover, these types of decisions break my heart. I am not so good at looking at it logically; I don’t trust the rest of my “puppy’s” life to anyone. How are they going to work through his quirks and weirdness? How dare they get the chance to have his devotion… instead of me?
But with frequent visits to the vet to stitch one (or both) of our springer spaniels up… this is just the decision we are having to make.
So, we need someone with lots of space, no kids (or older kids) who has a strong male figure who desperately wants a devoted friend.
Or we need some tips on how to work with these dogs, suggestions from those doggy smart people? Or maybe just some sympathetic comments to help soothe our family as we travel through the process of this decision.

I am a certified professional dog trainer and perhaps with a little more information, I could offer you some advice. I know how difficult a decision you are up against. I hope you take me up on this as I would love to be able to help you with this dilemma.
