Sit back and relax while you enjoy a light breakfast, steaming latté, the exclusive signature momcafé biscotti called “The Inspired MOMosa” by The Naughty Cookie Company and on-site childcare provided by Kids & Company, while listening to these inspiring women and connecting with other educated, savvy Halifax moms. A portion of this event’s proceeds will go to Dress for Success Halifax.
Karen Donnelly is no stranger to juggling her corporate career with running a business AND running after her three young children! Karen is a Project Manager with the Centre for Women in Business and has an extensive marketing and sales background with a variety of sectors including alcoholic beverages and media broadcasting. Karen previously owned a sporting goods agency selling sportswear and goods to retailers and currently owns and operates a sales agency, Can-East Inc., selling the very popular FitFlop along with 7 other footwear lines and a line of children’s bicycles.
Sarah Williams is like many women, an entrepreneur working in Corporate Canada. While Sarah has spent several years in a variety of marketing roles in Toronto and Halifax, what really drives her is seeking out new business ideas. Sarah currently works at Bell Aliant leading the marketing efforts of their Fibre Optic business. She is also one of the new owners of HRMParent.ca, and has been running a part-time cake making business for over 4 years. Sarah currently lives in Halifax with her husband Sean, who has his own consutling business and their two toddler divas. Sarah strives to see the positive in everything and is always up for a good laugh.
Childcare will be provided by Kids & Company. Childcare: Kids aged 0 – 12 years old are welcome. Listen to the speakers and engage in uninterrupted conversation while the children are supervised in a safe and fun area nearby. Babies aged 0 to 6 months (or older if you prefer) may choose to sit closer to Mom. An additional fee of $10.00 (plus HST) for the first child and $5.00 (plus HST) for each additional child will be charged for those requiring childcare (snacks included).
